The service provided by the team at John Roberts was excellent. They showed the house well & I felt were perceptive in focusing on the buyers who meant business. During the whole process, their communication, especially from James, was clear & concise. Once my purchase was agreed, they chased lawyers & any outstanding issues that remained. They showed tact & discretion where there were any hiccups & really pushed until exchange of contracts had taken place. I would commend them wholeheartedly for anyone wishing either to buy or sell a house.

When our mother had to go into care we rented her property for four years through John Roberts, who consistently did an excellent job of finding and vetting tenants and managing the letting. We always felt confident that our property was in safe hands. Sue Blake’s lettings team demonstrated excellent communication skills and problem-solving initiative whenever any issues arose, and their suggestions invariably proved to be wise and well-founded. In turn, they were always approachable and responsive, and our relationship with them always felt like a partnership rather than a commercial arrangement. I cannot rate them too highly.

When the current Coronavirus lockdown was implemented I had assumed that the sale of our property would have to be put on hold for many months - and without the efforts of our estate agent, James Newman, I have no doubt that this would have been the case. James was persistent and resourceful in pursuing the sale, and remained calm and good-humoured even in trying circumstances. When a number of difficult issues arose, James demonstrated diplomatic skills in keeping our buyer on board; and when we decided that our dilatory solicitor needed to be replaced, he made arrangements to set us up in a matter of hours with a replacement who proved to be an excellent choice in quickly resolving the complex issues. James really did seem to go the extra mile to get the sale completed.
