Here's to the past: Weller Hill & Hubble, Flatt & Mead, Hetherington Pretty & Ellis. These are the names of property agents embedded in the local history of South West Hertfordshire; now sadly gone but not forgotten — you can still see traces of their names buried in the signage of their corporate successors.

And here's to the present: we are small and friendly, operating out of branches in the key locales of Chorleywood and Rickmansworth. We have a huge empathy with the area's past and a healthy regard for its future. John McAteer (our founder, who started with Stimpson Locke & Vince in 1983, yet another old name) would be a soft voiced Town Cryer in another career.

At John Roberts & Co, we try to continue the tradition of the independent local agent. We have accumulated extensive experience in the property market in the villages and countryside this side of the Chiltern Hills. In fact, because many of us grew up in the area, we know it inside out; and because we live here we want the best for it and for you.
