- Drive around the locality and note the agents who have a high number of SOLD boards
- Ask local residents to recommend a reliable agent that is flexible in their approach.
- Remember that a high valuation figure is one thing, but getting your asking price is another. Some estate agents are less realistic than others in their valuation.
- Select and agent with knowledge of the area; the longer established agents with years of experience will have the edge.
- Don't be romanced by an agent that accepts a low fee. The less paid, the less incentive there will be and the less time the agent will work on your behalf.
