House hunting tips

• Don't delay viewing or you could lose a property. Our office hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm on Saturday and 11am to 3pm on Sunday. Evening appointments may be possible by prior appointment.
• Request copy of the HIP for any property you are interested in
• If you are considering improving or extending a property it is advisable to take an architect or builder with you. We can put you in touch with local professionals of all trades.
• Once you are sure about the property you wish to buy consider offering the full asking price to show the Vendor you are serious.
• Stay in regular contact with your solicitor and the agent to ensure the chain progresses smoothly.
• Be sure to take out insurance before you instruct your solicitor.
• Try to be flexible with the vendor and make it clear you're willing to complete on their timescale.
• If you sell your property before your next one is ready, consider moving into a rental property as a temporary residence in order to keep the chain going.
